Women are being dominated behind the plea of empowerment.

As I wrote in the article Are the NGOs violating human rights? most of the NGOs prefer female workers than male workers to recruit or promote by the plea of women empowerment. I have noticed some reasons behind the screen of this plea. Readers can read those reasons and I am sure you will also be agree with me. The reasons:

  • Women are not habituated to raise their voice against any decision of the authority, in the same case a male person will protest the decision strongly than a female worker.

  •  If any female worker raise her voice against any decision, she may face an order of transfer or termination. In case of transfer, the fate is same for male or female but a women will never take a risk of transfer as because she can continue her job (in maximum cases) from her nearby home.

  • Male workers demand more salary than a female worker. Sometimes salary may be deducted with no reason.

  • Sometimes 'presentable' is also a quality indicator in case of promotion or recruitment process.

  • Donors also like more percentage of female staffs in an NGO. So donors can be attracted easily if there is more female staff.

  • Women will perform her overtime duty but the payment will not be addressed anywhere.
  • Leave is not applicable for any festival or emergency, no worker will raise their voice, because they have fear lo lose the job.

  • Every NGO has a gender policy, but this is a confidential asset of the organization. This for donors only, not for the staffs or implementation.

If this is for NGO sector, can you imagine the picture of coporate sector? Dear readers, in all of my articles I am repeatedly writing, there is exception. Some NGO and factories are exception and the number of them may not exceed 2%.
